Testimonials

I recently represented a plaintiff in an accounting malpractice action . . . and William A. Barrett, Esq. (Bill) was assigned as our mediator. . . I would highly recommend Bill as a mediator. He did an excellent job of working with both sides during the mediation and, at least from my end, he did an excellent job of respecting my client’s position while also pointing out some of the issues they might face moving forward with the litigation. Bill was thoroughly prepared for the mediation and communicated well prior to the mediation as well as throughout the mediation.  He asked insightful questions and had a very good rapport with both attorneys and my client. Although our case did settle, and I believe that Bill was a large part of that, I would still recommend Bill even if the case did not settle.

Bill served as a mediator in a consumer fraud litigation. We represented the Defendant. It was a case which we could not settle and it did not settle at our two prior trial dates. The mediators we were provided just could not grasp the issues well enough to bring the parties together. In our third trial date, enter Bill, he reviewed the documents, spoke to the parties, and settled the case. He used logic, knowledge, and wisdom to bring about a settlement when others couldn’t.
